Apply to Kindergarten

Applying to Nightingale is easy

On her first day at Nightingale, a Kindergartener is welcomed by the head of school in front of the iconic blue doors, and a senior takes her hand to walk alongside her to the classroom. This special moment of connection marks the beginning of a student’s educational adventure as a valued member of the Nightingale community.

Student Assessment

After you submit your application we will notify you via email within 5 days to let you know the date and time of your daughter’s assessment. This will be a group assessment that will last approximately 45–60 minutes. There is no formal programming for parents/guardians during this time and you are welcome to have a caregiver or other adult bring her to the appointment. More information regarding the assessment will be provided one week before the appointment.

3.

Schedule In-Person Parent/Guardian Tour and Interview

Please use the online checklist to schedule a tour and interview:

You will schedule an appointment for an in-person Schoolhouse tour with a current parent that will be followed by a conversation with a member of the admissions team. The duration of the visit will be approximately 90 minutes.

If you have special circumstances and would like to discuss other options for the tour and interview, please contact Admissions & Financial Aid Coordinator Nat Chery at nchery@nightingale.org, or call 212-933-6515.

4.

Request School Records

Request that your daughter's current school send school records directly to Nightingale. For applicants to Kindergarten, the ISAAGNY Confidential School Report Form is available on the online portal and can be sent directly to your early childhood director. This report must be submitted to Nightingale by January 8.

5.

Register for Our Admissions Events

The events are an excellent opportunity for prospective parents/guardians to learn about Nightingale by asking questions and engaging in dialogue with key faculty, administration, students, and parents.
