Jeni Britton, Founder of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Visits with Class VIII
What does it look like to turn a dream into something real?
Nightingale was honored to welcome Jeni Britton, founder of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, to speak with Class VIII students today.
Starting with a passion for creating bold, unexpected flavors, Jeni built her company from the ground up—transforming a love of food into a nationally recognized brand through creativity, persistence, and vision.
During her visit, she spoke about the power of believing in your dreams, staying the course through challenges, and trusting yourself to “just do it”—to follow an idea, even when the path is unexpected. She encouraged students to see entrepreneurship as more than building a business, but as creating community and connection. And finally, to embrace what makes them unique, reminding them that their “weirdness” is what makes them powerful and will ultimately set them up to lead and succeed.
Thank you to our Middle School Women in Entrepreneurship leaders, Minie P. ‘30 and Scarlett B. ‘30, for helping bring this inspiring conversation to life—and to Jeni for reminding our students that big ideas (and flavors!) are always worth pursuing.
