Walking in History: Lower Schoolers Study Lenape Traditions in the Thain Forest
On Wednesday, October 14, Class II students visited the New York Botanical Garden to bring their social studies curriculum to life.
As part of their unit on Lenapehoking, students participated in a guided walk through the Thain Family Forest. Exploring the woodland trails, they learned how Lenape communities utilized local natural resources long before New York City was established.
