Class VIII composers recently worked in small teams to develop and pitch original musical adaptations of fairy tales to their grade. Each team outlined its proposed story and composed and recorded a demo of a short song excerpt to bring its musical concept to life. The entire grade will vote to select the fairy tale that will serve as the source material for this year’s Class VIII musical. Beginning next week, the composers will develop the winning concept into a full musical, which will move into rehearsals in the spring before taking the stage in the auditorium toward the end of the school year.
